WASHINGTON, DC, April 23, 2019 – The Railway Supply Institute (RSI) is soliciting nominations for executives from member companies to serve on its board of directors. RSI is seeking three new board members for a term beginning in January 2020. Board members are expected to serve a three-year term and attend three annual in-person meetings, participate on committees, and be available to staff and members. Nominees must be from a member company in good standing; self-nominations are encouraged.
“Serving on the RSI board of directors is a great opportunity for an executive from a member company to take a leadership position and advance the goals of our association and our industry,” said RSI President Mike O’Malley. “We are seeking candidates who have the commitment and vision to champion innovation and change for our organization, member companies and the rail supply industry.”
O’Malley noted that nominees will be vetted by the nominating committee and presented to the board for consideration. The RSI board will present a slate of candidates to the RSI members for ratification at the RSI Annual Membership Meeting on September 24, 2019 which will be held at Railway Interchange 2019, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The nomination form includes the requirements and qualifications needed for prospective board members. The deadline for nominations is June 3, 2019.
