Technical Programs


The American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) and the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA) will be hosting technical sessions to educate attendees on new technologies in the rail industry. Attendees will hear from industry leaders on a variety of important topics.

Technical sessions will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center . Hours have not been set for the Technical Programs but they will be held during normal indoor trade show hours.

The Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA) include:


In 2009, the CMA programs included topics such as ECP Brakes, Tank Car Safety & Security, Emerging Locomotives Technologies, AAR Rule Changes, Equipment Health Monitoring, and FRA Safety Requirements. You can expect detailed schedules to be available online in mid 2011.

Please remember there is a separate fee to attend technical sessions. You will have an option to sign up when you register online or when you arrive at Railway Interchange 2011.
