League of Railway Industry Women Joins CMA Programs at Railway Interchange/2013
Washington, DC, February 25, 2013 – The Railway Supply Institute today announced that the League of Railway Industry Women (LRIW) has affiliated with the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA) and will hold its first annual educational seminar in conjunction with the CMA technical conference at Railway Interchange 2013 in Indianapolis, September 29-30, 2013.
The Coordinated Mechanical Associations consist of the Air Brake Association, International Association of Railroad Operating Officers, Locomotive Maintenance Officers Association and the Mechanical Association Railcar Technical Services.
Tom Simpson, President of the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), which assists with the CMA technical conference, said “We welcome the LRIW to the ranks of long-established CMA organizations. LRIW’s educational training session is a valuable resource for women in our industry and will be a great addition to this year’s Coordinated Mechanical Associations technical conference at Railway Interchange 2013.”
